Read how Besso Clinic helped a patient find relief from Scoliosis

Often a patient hears about how Besso Clinic was able to help a friend or family member find relief from chronic pain, and decides to give our clinic a try for their own pain. They enter the office, hopeful to find some relief, and often a bit unsure if our NUCCA upper cervical technique will work for them. It is exciting to share in their journey as they find relief from chronic pain.

Jennifer H. was excited to share her story:

For at least 10 years I have suffered from on and off Scoliosis pain. I had x-rays to determine the severity of the Scoliosis, but I have never had any treatments for it. In addition to the Scoliosis, I had decreased range of motion in my neck, back pain, and tight muscles in my mid to upper back. My shoulders and my hips were also unlevel.
I was told about the Besso Clinic from a friend and about the great results they were having, so I decided to try it out for myself. Since I have started my NUCCA treatments, 90% of my symptoms listed above are gone!! Yes gone! I am also sleeping better and feel more relaxed, which makes me happy.
The staff is outstanding, friendly, courteous, and helpful. They are very welcoming and make me feel at home. I really like their professionalism and the Thank You note I got for committing to my treatment plan.
Coming frequently in the beginning wasn’t something I liked, but I knew it was necessary and I can tell you it helped me! I would recommend anyone with neck or back pain to come here. The Besso Clinic of Chiropractic offers exceptional
care.

Trigeminal Neuralgia Relief found in Upper Cervical Chiropractic

Trigeminal Neuralgia is a very painful condition, often called the “suicide disease”. This chronic condition affects the fifth cranial (trigeminal) nerve, causing sharp, painful, and shooting pain in the face. We have had great success helping patients find relief from this condition in the past, and last fall Thomas T. entered our office in great pain. This is his story.

I was diagnosed with having Trigeminal Neuralgia, which is painful condition that causes a false signal to the right side of my face. The smallest things, such as washing my face, brushing my teeth, eating, talking and even walking, would cause a “taser-like” shock to happen. A neurologist prescribed anti-seizure medicine and I was told to do a follow-up appointment in 6 months. I began doing a lot of research, and after awhile I read that Upper Cervical care could help alleviate my terrible pain.

Although I am still taking the anti-seizure medicine, I haven’t had one Trigeminal Neuralgia attack since I’ve been seeing Dr. Besso. I’m sure all that pressure and misalignment was causing the frightening and awful scary facial pain.

As a side note, I’ve had bad back, neck, and joint aches for the last 20 years. After my first NUCCA adjustment at the Besso Clinic, my back pain was greatly reduced. It didn’t happen overnight but after a few months of treatment my neck, back, and joints hardly ever ache. I just thought all these pains were part of aging, I had no idea I could feel this good again.

My hopes are that I can discontinue using that medicine, and plan on writing a follow up when that happens, so this is to be continued…..

5 Signs that Your Spine is Not In Line

The spinal column remains straight and balanced as long as the weight of the head is centered over the neck. When the weight of the head is shifted off center, due to an accident or injury, the body will compensate and move into an imbalanced position. In an effort to keep the head centered over the neck, the spine and pelvis will twist and lock into a stressed position.

This twisting, or imbalance, that is created will eventually show up in a few interesting ways.

How a Healthy Gut Can Help the Healing Process

A variety of probiotic bacteria and prebiotics can positively affect health by improving the survival and growth of beneficial bacteria in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. Specially formulated symbiotic gi-products help support a natural balance of good bacteria to maintain healthy digestion*, which helps to:

  • Promote natural immune function*
  • Improve nutrient absorption*
  • Guard against occasional digestive upsets and intestinal disturbances*

With over 70% of your body’s immune cells located in the digestive tract, a healthy gut can help maintain a healthy immune system. Unfortunately, a number of factors can result in an imbalance of beneficial bacteria such as stress, aging and consumption of an unhealthy diet that is low in fiber and high in fat. Daily supplementation with a  GI supplement can help normalize the delicate balance of intestinal bacteria required to keep your digestive tract healthy, which in turn can help keep your whole body healthy

The better your digestion, the more nutrition you receive from the foods you eat.
