Is Your Head Tilted to One Side? How Can This Imbalance Affect Wellbeing?

Have you ever wondered why you have one shoulder higher than the other?  Or why your head is tilted to one side?  Have you been told that you have one leg shorter than the other?  Do you have chronic muscle spasm at the top of your shoulders?

This adverse body position can cause stress, tension and pressure to the entire nervous system, most importantly the brain stem (base of the brain). This is very important, because our body shuttles millions of electrical and chemical impulses back and forth from the brain to every cell of our body each day. Any restriction or distortion of those messages (nerve impulses) can affect every body function.

Many of these nerve messages are unconscious such as breathing, digestion, and circulation. If this is not corrected, the long term effect is degeneration of that part of the body serviced by those restricted messages-resulting in mild to severe pain, lowered resistance to illness, behavioral changes, organ dysfunction, loss of mobility in limbs, and ultimately – disease.

From Fibromyalgia Success to A Perfect 300 Bowling Game! What a Great Week at the Besso Clinic!

What a great week at the Besso Clinic!  We had several patients share some really cool success stories.

It started Monday afternoon when I asked a very humble patient of mine, who happens to be a fantastic bowler, if he has had a 300 game since I saw him last month.  I said this with a bit of sarcasm.  Guess what he said!  He said he has had 4 300 games so far this year!!  How about that for functioning at Peak Performance with Upper Cervical Chiropractic Care!

Yesterday, I called a patient with Fibromyalgia after her first correction to check in on her.  She shared that her Fibro fog was gone! Her vision cleared up! Her head felt better, and her muscles felt different.  What a huge blessing!  She said “I can’t explain how encouraged I am!”

Stay tuned for a couple great posts teaching more about fibromyalgia, its causes, and how to get it under control and get your life back.

Today, we had another blessed day.  Another new patient with fibromyalgia shared that she slept 7 hours straight for the first time in a long time! This may not seem like a big deal, but imagine how you would feel if you didn’t have a refreshed nights sleep for a few years.

Then, we had one of our favorite patients share that see had a pretty good bowling performance recently.  She bowled a 181 earlier in the season shortly after starting care, which was well above her average.  Since then she has given us a hard time, claiming that it must have been a fluke because she hadn’t put up another performance like her 181 all season.  Well about three weeks ago, a day after her last visit with us, she busted out a 210!!  Good for her, I don’t think I can break 100!

Check out the testimonials tab above for dozens of great testimonials.

I hope these stories have blessed you and I hope you have a great weekend!

5 Signs that Your Spine is Not In Line

The spinal column remains straight and balanced as long as the weight of the head is centered over the neck. When the weight of the head is shifted off center, due to an accident or injury, the body will compensate and move into an imbalanced position. In an effort to keep the head centered over the neck, the spine and pelvis will twist and lock into a stressed position.

This twisting, or imbalance, that is created will eventually show up in a few interesting ways.

A Radically Different Approach to Healthcare

Upper cervical care is a radically different approach to health care.

To better understand how it works it is important to understand the body parts, how the nerve system operates and how the body communicates and functions.

Upper cervical doctors focus on the top 2 bones in the spine, the atlas and the axis or C1 and C2 respectively.  The atlas is at the top of the spine and bears the weight of our 10 pounds heads… mine might be a bit heavier, my wife claims. If the atlas is shifted out of its proper position it can cause all sorts of problems to occur.
